ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1. General Provisions

Admission of international students to KNEU is carried out on the basis of:

  • international agreements between Ukraine and other countries;
  • agreements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
  • contracts between the University and international organisations or individuals.

Academic and methodological work with international students is conducted by all University departments, with appointed departmental inspectors responsible for organisational and methodological support.

 

2. Degree Programmes

The Department of Corporate Finance and Controlling offers the following degree programmes:

Bachelor's Degree (First Cycle)  •  3 years 10 months •  240 ECTS credits

Master's Degree (Second Cycle)  •  1.5 years  •  90 ECTS credits

All programs delivered in partnership with Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany).

ℹ  International applicants holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics are eligible to apply for the Master's programme.

 

3. Admission Requirements

3.1 Language Requirements

The study process at KNEU is conducted in English and Ukrainian. Applicants whose chosen programme includes courses taught in English must demonstrate English language proficiency at the B2 level or higher by submitting one of the following internationally recognized certificates.

Ukrainian-language proficiency (for Ukrainian-medium programmes):

  • Certificate of the State Examination in Ukrainian as a Foreign Language (Level B2 or above)
  • Proof of successful completion of a Preparatory Department programme in Ukraine

 

3.2 Required Documents

All documents listed in items 2–6 must be translated into Ukrainian in Ukraine and notarially certified. Documents issued abroad must be legalised by the relevant Ukrainian diplomatic mission, unless otherwise provided for by international agreements.

  1. Completed application form
  2. Original and 2 copies of the educational credential from the previous institution
  3. Original and 2 copies of the diploma supplement / academic transcript
  4. Copy of birth certificate
  5. Medical certificate issued by official health authorities of the applicant's country of residence, issued no earlier than two months before arrival in Ukraine
  6. 2 copies of the passport or identity document (for stateless persons), with a notarised Ukrainian translation
  7. Valid health insurance policy
  8. 6 colour photographs, 3×4 cm
  9. Copy of Ukrainian residence permit, if applicable
  10. Envelope
  11. Document folder (duo-tang / ring binder)

 

4. Enrolment Procedure

  • All documents are submitted to the KNEU Office for International Students.
  • Application deadline: 1 August of the current academic year (for the autumn semester intake).
  • Foreign educational documents must be recognised (nostrified) in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
  • Admission is competitive and based on the GPA of the submitted educational document.
  • Tuition fees apply for all international students; fees are set annually by the University.
