Educational and Methodological WorkThe primary goals of the department's educational and methodological activities are to enhance the quality of foreign language teaching and learning by incorporating active and creative teaching methods. These methods focus on developing communication skills in foreign languages for business and academic contexts. Additionally, the department aims to adopt modern teaching practices and integrate them into course instruction. The department continuously works on improving the educational and methodological support in the following areas:
The faculty constantly work on improving their teaching skills and enhancing their qualifications. They are the members of professional associations such as IATEFL, the Ukrainian branch of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language, and TESOL, the "TESOL-Ukraine" Association of English Language Teachers. The department includes the faculty members who have completed international certification. Associate Professors Iuliia Mendrukh and Olha Khodakevych hold international teaching qualification as English language teachers under the TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) program by Cambridge University Press and Assessment, London School of English. They are also certified to teach English for Specific Purposes under the First Certificate for Teachers of Business English (FTBE LCCI) program. Additionally, Associate Professor Olha Khodakevych is a CELTA(Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) certified teacher. Associate Professor O.O. Maksymenko is certified by Grant MacEwan College (Grant MacEwan University, Canada) as an instructor for the TOEFL program (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Associate Professor I.M. Mashkova is a certified business trainer (course "Communication UKRA 111"). The educators of the department have authored more than 60 published course books and educational and methodological publications on English and French languages for the students majoring in various fields of Economics.Moreover, more than 10 distance learning courses have been developed so far.
