The department carries out scientific research into the topic "Formation of Foreign Language Linguistic and Professional Competence in Students of Economics”.

Individual research of the faculty members is conducted in the following areas:

• Research in the field of foreign language teaching methodology
• Research in the field of English philology
• Research in the field of translation studies, particularly specialized translation
• Research in the field of theory and methodology of professional education
• Research in the fields of pedagogy and psychology

Currently, the department’s scientific team consists of 7 faculty members with PhD degrees and 10 senior lecturers. Their research findings are presented in over 500 course books, educational and methodological publications, and articles in both international and Ukrainian professional journals, including those indexed in international scientific citation databases.

The department’s academic staff also review dissertations, abstracts, articles, dictionaries, course books, and other (Associate Professors E. Shchukina, O.Maksymenko, O.Kuznetsova, Iu.Mendrukh, V.Tynnyi, O. Khodakevych, and E.Ostapenko). They serve on the editorial boards of scientific journals (Associate Professors Iu. Mendrukh, V. Tynnyi, O.Khodakevych) and regularly participate in scientific, scientific and practical, and scientific and methodological conferences, seminars, roundtables, and other events.
